50 Shades of Holiday Red

Welcome to day 11 of #12DaysOfKimber!

I can’t believe it is the second to last day already, but that means you still have a bit of time to enter my holiday giveaway! Today I am collaborating with Tobi to share with you three festive looks for the holidays. Red is such a staple color for the holiday season, so I picked three very different red dresses to style (hence the title). No matter what you will be doing during the Christmas season, one of these holiday looks will be suitable for your festivities.

If you will walking around the city to see the Christmas tree at Washington Square Park and other festive attractions (see here for my Christmas in New York City blog post), this is the outfit for you. I paired this velvet wrap dress with a cream turtleneck underneath for some added warmth. I love this velvet dress because it is so versatile! You can dress it up with some heels on its own or pair it with any turtleneck or mockneck shirt you have to dress it down.

I threw on my pink faux fur coat because it was quite cold that day, and I love mixing pink and red together! Click here for two more pink and red combo outfits. To keep me even warmer, I am wearing this heattech shirt underneath everything! I have talked about these Stuart Weitzman boots a lot on my blog, and in short – I love them. However, if you want a more affordable option, I recommend this pair because I have it in both burgundy and taupe (see outfit below).

This is another outfit for walking around town, but when you go home, you can just kick off your shoes and stay in the sweater dress. It is so comfortable! This red sweater dress is the perfect festive red and it really pops against any wintery background. If you are Christmas shopping and pushing through the crowds, you will definitely want to sip on some hot chocolate and just rest in this comfy sweater dress when you get home. And some knee-high socks, maybe?

I am wearing my taupe over-the-knee boots that are more affordable than the black ones from above. The heel is a quarter inch shorter than the Stuart Weitzman ones, and it has a zipper on the inner side while the SW one does not. Both are very comfortable to walk in. I also threw my camel oversized waterfall coat over everything, even my Chloe bag. For some reason I like to wear my coats over small crossbody bags, not really sure why, but that’s just what I’m used to.

If you are going to a Christmas party, this satin skater dress is the one for you. I live in New York City, so it is pretty much impossible to be wearing this outfit out and about on Christmas. However, if you are attending any sort of party that is indoors, this bright red dress with a beautiful back detail will definitely catch people’s eyes. For low-back dresses like this, I like to wear these nipple covers. I love the striped details on the dress and that it’s a skater dress, because it is flattering on most body types. I paired the dress with my shoes from Sole Society and my gold necklace designed by Amber Scholl. The gold details make the look even more festive!

One last thing – the red lipstick that I have been loving and wearing tons (all of these, plus some on my Instagram) is Joli Rouge by Clarins in the color Joli Rouge. Not sure why they named the lipstick and the color the same thing, but that makes it easier for me to remember!

I hope you enjoyed these three festive looks in different shades of holiday red. I have been shopping at Tobi for years now, and they always have so many fun options! If you are searching for a holiday dress, be sure to check them out.
