My studio is all decked out for Christmas! I finally got around to decorating my place, and I absolutely love it! It is a mix of DIY and store-bought items and I’m really excited to share it with everyone! If you want to see my studio tour before I decked it all out, click here. Let’s begin!
Since my studio is not that big, I don’t have space for a 8 ft. Christmas tree, but this 2 ft. one from Target is just as festive : )
I bought a cone styrofoam from Michael’s and wrapped it with some silver garland, put some pink ornaments in my vase, and tied it together with the Too Faced holiday gift set. Oh and I also have some leftover pink chocolates from my friend to add to the pink. If you haven’t tried Sugarfina, you definitely should.
My candle is Frosted Cranberry from Bath & Body Works – it smells so good!
And I have a fluffy tree skirt from Target along with two Starbucks cups for decoration (I washed them, don’t worry!).
Now onto my bed. Yes, I know I’m supposed to hang my wreath on my door, but I live in a tiny NYC apartment complex and don’t want to attract attention. The candy cane wall decor is from the dollar store and I DIY-ed the wreath.
The wreath was only $6 from Michael’s and I hot-glued some 50 cent decorations along with some silver and red ornaments to bring it to life. Michael’s was selling pre-made wreaths for $39.99 and I made mine for less than $15. It’s super quick and easy if you have a hot glue gun! Plus, it’s one of a kind : )
On the topic of saving money, I got these festive pictures from the Kate Spade store on Fifth Avenue – for free. They were giving out these holiday gift guide booklets, so I took one and used the pictures for decoration. I am a huge fan of Kate Spade, and having these makes me feel like my room is a Kate Spade boutique haha.
This is my living room area. I didn’t want to buy too many festive pillows because I don’t have space to store them, so I made my own and kept two that I originally had.
I got a large red t-shirt, a large black t-shirt, silver ribbon, and stuffing from Michael’s and put it all together with my handy dandy hot glue gun. Making the pillowcase did not take long at all, but it took a while to put the cotton stuffing in. It turned out really well and it’s super comfortable to nap on too!
Oh, and that’s bear in his Santa hat! Isn’t he adorable?
Ta-daaaa! This is my room at night! Christmas lights everywhere!
And this is what my centerpiece looks like at night. Gotta light the candle.
Now that my place is all decked out for Christmas, I’m ready for the holiday season! I hope you got some inspiration from this post, whether it’s decorating on a budget or DIY-ing. Thanks for stopping by : )
