I moved to a studio in Chelsea, Manhattan in mid-July and wanted to show what my room looks like before I start decorating for the holidays! For reference, my place is approximately 400 square feet (yes, rent in New York City is insanely high). Let’s begin! Welcome : ) This is my door and my handy dandy swiffer, which I use biweekly. On the left is my tiny kitchen and on the right is my tiny bathroom. We will start with the less interesting parts first. My bathroom really is tiny, but at least my shower curtains are cute! Sometimes I just want to stay home on the weekends and relax, but I don’t want to be Netflixing or YouTubing for the entire day. What to do what to do… Bake something! It’s the season for all baked goods – apple pie, pumpkin pie, gingerbread cookies, chocolate peppermint muffins, you name it! I made some mini apple pies last weekend and thought I’d share them today so you could possibly have a relaxing weekend evening – apple pie & chill. Happy November! The first day of the month is the day I pay my (New York) rent. Yes, rent in New York City is insanely high. Before I started work, I did some googling about how to budget for a young adult. It was helpful, but I didn’t start learning until I got my first paycheck. When I saw the amount deposited into my account, I wanted to cry. New York City tax is INSANELY high! I thought to myself how am I going to live like this? The first month after I got my first paycheck, I was a… View Post

It’s the season of pumpkin everything! Coming at you with my favorite breakfast this season: Trader Joe’s pumpkin waffles topped with Trader Joe’s pumpkin butter, sliced bananas, and blackberries. Oh and of course, pumpkin spice latter (made it with my Keurig). I’ve been so obsessed with these pumpkin waffles that I’m munching on my fourth box now and will probably go buy another box today yumm. Another favorite of mine is the Boom Chicka Pop Holidrizzle Pumpkin Spice Kettle Corn. It is hands down my favorite pumpkin spice snack this season, because the pumpkin spice flavor is not overpowering and… View Post
