Today I will be sharing with you my current favorites! Since I am doing monthly outfit diaries instead of monthly favorites, I thought it would be a good idea to write about my current favorites every few months. I included everything from beauty to lifestyle, and some brands that I have been loving recently. It is quite a lengthy post, so let’s begin!
My skincare routine has pretty much been the same since I last talked to you about it. You can read about my in-depth skincare routine here. I start by washing my face with the Shiseido Whitening Face Wash with my Vanity Planet brush. You can get the brush for 70% off here. I then use my Son & Park Beauty Water as a toner with a cotton pad to prep my face for my skincare products. Next, I use a cotton pad with the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence to give my skin some extra nutrients. This is the newly added product that I have been loving because it moisturizes and brightens my skin. Finally, I lock in everything with my all-time favorite Clinique Moisturizing Gel.
Next up in the beauty category are makeup products. I have not been wearing much makeup recently and completely cut out foundation. I put the Tarte shape tape concealer under my eyes, on my chin, and some parts around my nose, then blend it all out with the beauty blender. The beauty blender is seriously a game changed. I know I am super late to the game, but if you haven’t tried it out, I highly recommend because it blends everything so seamlessly! I also don’t use mascara anymore, and just use my Kat Von D eyeliner. It stays all day on my oily eyelids, so happy me! And then the lips – my favorite has been my Tarte lipstick in the color escape. The color is very buildable and I love that it stays on without drying out my lips.
Finally, the last part of the beauty category is hair! The two products that I want to talk about are my Conair blowdryer and my amika dry shampoo. Both of those products have been favorites of mine for a year or more and I’m still loving them. The blowdryer is super lightweight and is very powerful, and the dry shampoo does its job without leaving a residue (and it smells good!).
Loungewear set: MissPap
Since I have been traveling so much between New York City, Washington DC, and now Taiwan, all my lifestyle favorites are related to travel. The first one is my portable lint roller, because it allows me to have crisp clean clothes when I go to work! I have it in pink of course. Next up is my marble carry-on from Calpak, which you probably have seen on my Instagram! It is the perfect size and can hold a lot, and it also has an expandable zipper. For more information about how I pack, click here. I pretty much always use packing cubes, especially on my recent international travel! I like to use my Longchamp duffel bag as my personal item when I am going to be away for a longer period of time, and sneak my Longchamp backpack on the plane (it’s small enough that they don’t care). Finally, is my Conair steamer, because I use it to get the wrinkles out of my work clothes when I travel!
A few brands that I have been loving recently are Pull and Bear, Bershka, Misspap, and Chicwish! Pull and Bear and Bershka are actually under the same company and I believe they are based in Spain. The pricing is similar to Zara’s, slightly more affordable, and the style is more laid back. Another brand that I have been loving recently is Misspap, which is where I got my loungewear set from. It reminds me of Nasty Gal but UK version! Finally, Chicwish! I talked about Chicwish in a previous blog post. Basically, it has a lot of cute sweaters and dresses that are more feminine – very my style and pretty affordable.
I have also been loving white sneakers. I have four pairs now, which is definitely more than necessary. I recently did an Instagram promotion for Converse and it brought back so many memories, because I used to swear by their shoes, and I have fallen back in love with them. You will definitely be seeing me rock the classic Converse sneakers more on the blog! Another pair are my leather ones from Ecco, which are oh-so-comfortable to walk in. And of course, my Superga sneakers, which are probably my most-worn shoes! I have the lower platform version, but it also comes in a higher platform if you need the extra height haha. Finally, are my Jeffrey Campbell velcro sneakers from probably three years ago, and they are still going strong!
Now onto a few of the random fashion favorites. I swear I’m almost done with this lengthy post! First are my wedges from Soludos, because they are seriously so comfortable and look so great with jeans! I will definitely be wearing it with dresses when it warms up in the city. I have also been loving my straw tote from Sea and Grass, a store on Etsy. It has a zipped to keep everything in the bag and can actually hold a good amount. My current favorite thing to run errands in is my Friends cropped hoodie because it is so comfortable and looks great with high-waisted leggings. For jeans, I have been wearing my Free People knee-ripped jeans nonstop, as evident on Instagram haha. More about the jeans in this blog post. Finally are my New Balance sneakers! My two friends in Canada also have the same pair because we got them to match, and we all love how comfy they are. It’s funny how New Balance is kind of back in again! Oh, and before I forget, I have also been loving wrap dresses and overall dresses, which will be featured in blog posts in the near future! If you see an outfit on my Instagram that you like. all outfit details will be under the Shop tab here on my blog : )
Wow this was a super lengthy post! Because I have not done a favorites in three months, I had a lot to say! I hope you try out some of the products I mentioned. If you stuck around until the end of the post, you are a champ!! Thank you so much for stopping by : )
