It’s almost the end of the last month of 2016! I can’t believe how fast time flies. I am back with another favorites post to end the year and like last month, I will be grouping them into categories. I hope you enjoy : )
Champagne Toast by Bath and Body Works – I heard about this candle from a friend who visited me in NYC and went to buy it right after she left. I like candles that don’t have a super strong sweet scent, and this is perfect. It’s sweet but not too sweet, it’s toasty, and the best part – it has a hint of champagne. It’s very festive for this time of the year.
Parade Red by Burberry – This is probably the most expensive lip product I own. I have never tried any products from Burberry, but heard about this from a YouTube video and decided to give it a go. It is so smooth and long lasting!! If you follow me on Instagram, this is what I’ve been wearing in most of my photos. I also mentioned it in my Christmas Essentials post.
Kylie Cosmetics Makeup Bag – I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts that I travel a lot for work, and this is the makeup bag that I have been using. It’s the perfect size and it has two small compartments in the interior to store smaller items. This was from Kylie’s holiday collection and the silver is so beautiful! I purchased it when she had a sale, so even more worth it heh.
Ms. Dress Up Zipper Pull – This product was kindly sent to me by the owner of Ms. Dress Up, but I have found this so fun and useful. It reminds me of the scene in How To Be Single when Alice is unzipping her dress with the zipper pull she made for herself. Like Alice, I like in a studio in New York City, and often have trouble getting my dresses on and off. This makes it so much easier for me to get dressed! You can also wear it as a jewelry piece (as shown in the picture), but I have never done that before. I usually use it at home before I head out.
Zara – I have always been a huge fan of Zara, but with all the sales going on recently, I find myself shopping there more and more. They had 30% off everything on Black Friday, and have even more sales going on now. I went to the SoHo store with my friend the other day and picked up some goodies : ) I also have been wearing a ton of Zara to work and on the weekends, so I had to mention it in my favorites.
Halogen Cashmere Sweater – I purchased this on Black Friday from Nordstrom and have been wearing it loads. A cashmere sweater for less than 70 bucks is difficult to find, and it is seriously so freaking soft. I have it in a pinky-red color called barberry and loved it for the holidays! If you are on the hunt for an affordable cashmere sweater, I definitely recommend this one.
Fuller House – I LOVE IT! Season 1 was so good and when the countdown on Netflix for season 2 started, I waited anxiously for it to finally air. It’s one of those shows that just make me smile : )
Facetune – Most people who are addicted to Instagram know this app. It’s the holy grail app for editing photos, supposedly. I used to just use VSCO, but recently decided to purchase Facetune to try it out. I honestly don’t like the filters in the app, but find myself using the lighting options a lot. I also use the whiten tool and details tool sometimes, but I am not a pro yet. Looking forward to play around with this app more!
Chalk Point Kitchen – I will always include a NYC restaurant in my monthly favorites : ) Located in SoHo, CPK is a great place to go to after a day of shopping. My friend and I ordered the goat cheese with bread and brussel sprouts – they were both so delicious. The goat cheese with bread appetizer was just amazing and I won’t even try to describe it because I can’t do it justice. The brussel sprouts were packed with flavor, and there were even pomegranate seeds in the dish!
Heavenly Cream by Sloane – My friend Sandra got me this for Christmas and I have been using it almost every night since I opened the present (I opened before Christmas oops). The tea leaves smell like cream, which is crazy to me! She suggested that I use water and milk with a dash of maple syrup, so I make mine with water, almond milk, and some brown sugar. I’ve been enjoying this nightly in my new Henri Bendel mug that I got for myself for Christmas haha.
And that’s a wrap! I hope you try out some of the things I mentioned and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Thanks for stopping by : )
