Dresses & Life Update

Happy Monday! It is currently 6:30AM and I am at the airport waiting to board my flight to DC because it is another work week! I wanted to write a bit about some dresses I have been loving and a little life update, so let’s begin.

I wore this lemon wrap dress when I was in Taiwan and wanted to talk more in depth about it. The silhouette is a wrap dress, which is my favorite type of dress at the moment. The dress I posted on my Instagram yesterday (this one below) is also a wrap dress!

Wrap dresses are just so flattering on all body types and you can tie it to adjust to your body. I also adore the lemon print because it screams warm weather and makes me so happy. This dress is low in stock, so I found a couple of similar pieces below. Click on the icons and it will take you directly to the website. Oh, and of course I paired the dress with my white Superga sneakers.

A little life update about my work life – consulting (talked about a day in the life in that blog post). I am still traveling to Washington DC every week for work, and it has been about nine months now. People often ask me if it gets tiring, and it definitely does. I try to stay at different hotels so I can explore the city when I am not working terrible hours. Sometimes I will stay until Friday so I have Thursday evening and Friday morning to explore, and then work my butt off until Friday night. There are a few places on my DC bucket list that I have yet to hit up, and will hopefully do them soon. As far as flex trips go, I am going to New Orleans this weekend for the first time and cannot wait to soak up some sunshine (this northeast winter is getting dragged on for way too long this year). Follow me on Instagram to see the adventures before they hit the blog!

As far as my weekends go, after coming back from San Francisco, I have now spent two weekends in a row in New York City! This past weekend I attended an event at Pier Sixty and wore this white dress with ruffles on the sleeve and hem. Shoes are old ones from Zara. I have also been eating out a lot – a recent discovery is Izakaya Mew, which is a Japanese restaurant located near Herald Square. It is quite affordable and everything we ordered was delicious! Of course I have also been starting spring cleaning. I always send my old clothes to thredUP because it is very convenient. That is it for today’s lengthy post! I started it at the airport this morning and finished it on this flight woohoo!
