Happy March 1st! Coming at you today with my February favorites : ) We are already two months into the new year and spring is just around the corner (I hope so at least). I would include the Kate Spade coffee table book because I’ve been using it as a prop in photos, but since I have not read it yet, it will just be an honorable mention here. Let’s begin!
Kat Von D Lipstick – If you follow me on Instagram, you now that I have been wearing this lipstick so much. (Sign up for LIKEtoKNOW.it to receive product details when you double tap on my Instagram photos!) ‘Mother’ is the perfect mauvy pink color! I love that the formula is very creamy and is surprisingly long-lasting too! If you don’t like pinks, there are plenty of other colors available at Sephora. Kat Von D also has a liquid lipstick version of the same color!
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – My friend introduced me to this eyeliner a few months ago, but I only recently started to wear eyeliner more often. This is the one I reach for instead of my Stila one, because I have oily eyelids and this eyeliner stays on my lids better. The Stila one is very good too, but my eyelid situation is usually not pretty, so I always prefer the one that will not budge even if my eyelids get super oily by the end of the day.
Kylie Cosmetics Kristen – If I’m not wearing the Kat Von D lipstick, I’m wearing Kristen by Kylie. To be honest, I’ve been skipping on the liquid lipstick (because I’m lazy), but I was so surprised that the lip liner itself is so long-lasting. I did a review last year, click here for a read!
Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette – This is a fairly recent purchase, but I’ve been loving it so much! It’s perfect for spring and it seriously smells like peaches. The only thing I don’t like about this palette is that it does not come with a brush. The colors are beautiful and I will talk more about it in my next post : )
Tory Burch Perry Tote – My holy grail tote bag, for real. I believe the French Grey color is sold out at most places, but the same color is available in similar styles. If you prefer the Perry Tote, it is available in other colors and I believe Tory Burch comes out with different colors every season. I love that the entire bag is made of leather, the lining does not scratch easily (and is pink), and it allows me to carry a lot of stuff. I did a “What’s in my work bag” post a while ago, but now I carry even more, including my camera and planner.
Keurig – I’ve had this for two and a half years and have always used it consistently, but I thought I would give it a shout out this month because I have been using it every single day that I am home. This is what I use to make my morning coffee : ) I believe this is the smallest size and it’s the perfect size for a dorm or a studio, because it makes exactly one cup. My favorite K cups are these from The Original Donut Shop.
Pink Champagne Truffles – These decadent treats from England are the perfect gift. These truffles have a delicate champagne flavor AND THEY’RE PINK!! As you can tell, I finished most of the box before I could take a picture of them, oops : )
Canon T6i – I purchased this camera at the beginning of February and have really been enjoying it! I use it with these 50mm f1.8 lenses because it blurs the background and gives that dreamy effect. I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera body and lenses, and I am still learning! The camera body is very lightweight and compact (for a DSLR) so it’s been pretty easy bringing it around. So far I’ve really been enjoying it and learning about photography!
Ebates – I bought myself an early birthday present this month and it is by far the biggest purchase I have ever made. I was able to save 14% of the retail price! You can use Ebates with most online retail stores like Nordstrom, Saks, and Bloomingdales. You can also use it for Expedia and other travel websites. You are literally getting paid for shopping, so I love it.
Taqueria St. Marks Place – BEST TACOS IN NEW YORK CITY! The tacos are three dollars each and are packed with flavor. My two favorites are lamb and steak. The guacamole is also a must-try. It is a very affordable restaurant in East Village and you can’t go wrong with delicious tacos!
That wraps up my February favorites! Let me know in the comments what you want to try out. Thank you for stopping by : )
