It’s almost the end of the first month of 2017 and I am back with another favorites post like last month. I was very lucky to travel to Orlando and San Francisco this month, and the rest of my time was spent in Milwaukee and New York City. My favorites this month reflect what I enjoyed using during my travels, as well as my work life in Milwaukee and home life in New York City. I hope you enjoy : )
YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in the color 01 (blood red) – I received this as a Christmas present from my friend who knows my love for lip products, and I love it! It is in the color 01 (not sure why YSL only puts the color number on the product) and it smells so good, kind of like perfume. It is is a warmer tone than Parade Red by Burberry, but still cool-tone enough to not make your teeth look yellow. I’ve been using this for work, but since it is a very bold red, I press it lightly on my lips for a tint.
Longchamp Le Pliage Backpack – If you’ve seen my Orlando and San Francisco outfit posts, you will know that this bag was the only one I used during those trips. It is compact but can hold a surprising amount of stuff. It is also super cute and my navy one matches all my outfits. I’ve had mine for over two years now and it’s still in great shape!
J.O.A. Faux Shearling Moto Jacket – I opted for a faux shearling jacket because it is cheaper, but still keeps you warm. I’ve been wearing it with a thick turtleneck when in 20s weather and a light sweater when in 40s weather. The color combination is so unique, but is surprisingly easy to match because all the colors are pretty neutral. I ordered this when it was 40% off on Nordstrom, but it is unfortunately sold out now (some other options here and here). Really recommend purchasing a faux shearling jacket now, because a lot of them are on sale! Oh, I have a LIKEtoKNOW.it page if you want to shop my outfits : )
PacSun – I have not shopped at PacSun for years and am not sure why I even walked into one, but I was amazed! The Kendall+Kylie collection was honestly not that great, but the Brandy Melville and Calvin Klein options were super cute. I purchased three items and wore all of them during my Orlando trip : ) I have my eyes on a couple of cute basics and can’t wait to go back!
Moana – I finally got around to watching this movie late last month and have been listening to the songs all of this month! My favorite song is How Far I’ll Go and I find myself humming it all the time (even though I’m very off tune). I also LOVE Pua even though he’s only in the movie for no more than two minutes heh. This is probably the most complex Disney movie and I loved it so much!
Chase Amie – I have been watching Amie’s YouTube channel for almost a year now and her Instagram feed is on point! Her blog is probably my favorite, because she gives a lot of information about the products she talks about (and it’s just so cute). Her style is very classy and elegant, and her bag collection is to die for!
Erin Condren Planner – I made my own Erin Condren planner (hence the marble cover) and have been using it every day since January first! I mainly use it for my blog and it’s great to have my ideas all in one place. It is on the bigger side, but I usually just put it in my tote bag when I go to work and it sits beside my laptop, so I don’t mind the size. It is definitely not a planner that you can throw in your smaller purses though!
Saigon Shack – I include a NYC restaurant every month and this month it is a Vietnamese place. I used to go there for the pho, but recently ordered a banh mi sandwich and it was so delicious! If you go with another person, order a pho and a banh mi sandwich to share, and dip the banh mi in the soup! It’s soooo good!!
Trader Joe’s Blueberry Waffles – I loved the pumpkin waffles in November and recently I’ve been loving the blueberry waffles. Top it off with some fresh blueberries and whipped cream and you’ve got yourself a lovely breakfast!
I hope you enjoyed my favorites from this month and if you try them out, let me know! Thanks for stopping by : )
