April showers ☔️ bring May flowers 💐 In New York City, we’ve been having tank-top-and-shorts weather as well as rainy-stay-at-home weather. After living on the east coast for almost five years, I am still not used to the drastic weather changes. I mean, there was a snowstorm in mid-March this year! I have two spring lookbooks here and here, and many other outfit posts, but I wanted to put together a blog post with some looks that I’ve been rocking on Instagram these past few weeks.
Easter afternoon with Cindy (thanks for the photo!). I love the embroidery details on the top, plus it’s blue and white striped! Since there is a lot going on with the top, I kept everything else pretty minimalistic. I paired it with my favorite black jeans, my comfiest lace-up flats, my go-to watch, and my absolute favorite bag. I love that the gray in the flats and bag tie the look together!
Food adventures at Smorgasburg! My friend and I spent a Saturday afternoon eating our faces off and it was amazing. Smorgasburg is an outdoor food market with many local vendors and unique flavors. If you’re ever in New York City during the warmer months, you have to go! It was over 80 degrees that day, so I put on a simple black bodysuit and my favorite embroidery shorts. Since I knew I was going to be busy eating and taking photos, I opted for a backpack to keep my hands free. I added a simple rose gold choker to finish off the look.
Another evening with Cindy (thanks for the photo!). It was quite hot that day, so we got ice cream and some delicious Italian for dinner. This outfit reminds me of a polar bear 🐾 just because it’s all white. I wore my favorite slip-ons this season (you’ve probably seen this wayyy too many times on my blog already) and added some delicate Mejuri jewelry pieces.
Dinner with a friend! This outfit is perfect for a dinner out because it’s casual with the jeans but dressed up with the top. I love that the top is off-the-shoulder and the sleeves are very statement. My top is from Zara, but you can also get it for a fraction of the price from SheInside (my friend has this one). I wore my comfiest heeled sandals because I can actually walk in them for an entire night. It is quite pricey, so I linked a few more affordable ones from Steve Madden that are also known to be quite comfortable.
A day out with a friend. We basically ate our hearts out with Instagrammable desserts 🍦 I am completely in love with this top because it is off-the-shoulder and the pleated details are so pretty. Still wearing the same black jeans I always wear, and my white sandals from last summer. You will be seeing more of this top on my Instagram for sure!
If you saw on my InstaStory, I wore this dress out in Atlantic City with a friend. I paired this beautiful summer dress with a statement necklace that I received in my Rocksbox set. Rocksbox is a jewelry membership service that allows you to try out different types/brands of jewelry. Every month, you can apply $21 to a purchase, or you do not have to purchase anything at all. It is kind of like renting jewelry, especially if you have a special event. You also get to purchase other jewelry pieces at the membership price, which is amazing! You can use code ‘kimberrryyyxoxo‘ to receive one month free at Rocksbox!
A lazy Sunday chilling on my rooftop. I have yet to post this on Instagram because I keep forgetting, but I still wanted to show you this outfit. I talked about this bodysuit in my April Favorites! It has a beautiful V cut and fits me really well. I paired it with the same embroidery shorts from above and a necklace from Mejuri. I love that Mejuri pieces are dainty, great quality, and affordable. You can get $20 off your order by clicking here!
I hope you enjoyed what I have been wearing! I am so excited for summer and can’t wait to share all my summer outfits with you. Sometimes I post outfits on Instagram before they hit the blog, so always check them out on my SHOP page! As always, thank you for stopping by : )
