March Favorites

A quarter of 2017 went by so quickly! Good thing I have more favorites to share with you : ) I probably should have cleaned my white sneakers a bit before taking that photo, but it just shows that I wear it loads! I will be starting with my favorite cafe in New York City this month, then moving onto fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.

GREECOLOGIES – Located in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan, this cafe is spacious, has wifi, and a great menu. I recommend trying the yogurt because it is very fresh and delightful. Some people might say that this cafe is too hipster for New York City, but that is what I like about it. I love that there is a decent amount of space (for the city) for people to work AND that they provide wifi. (Why do some cafes not provide wifi?) I enjoyed working there a few times this month and will definitely be going back.

If these photos look familiar, then hearts and kisses for you!

EMBELLISHED SLIP-ONS – These fun slip-ons were featured in a previous blog post and they received lots of love. I love that the slip-ons have an embellished top but is still very neutral, so it matches with any outfit. They are also super comfortable and I did not have to break them in at all! (ps. they are 40% off now)

WHITE VELCRO SNEAKERS – A pair of white sneakers is a must. I like mine because of the velcro detail that makes it super easy to put on and take off. They are also the perfect amount of cute! These were featured in a previous blog post as well. I’ve also found slightly more affordable options here and here.

TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL FACE MASKS – These face masks are infused with egg extracts that help hydrate and brighten the skin. The three types of masks are hydration, firming, and pore tightening, and I’ve tried them all! I really like how they feel on the face and the hydration one is definitely my favorite because I can tell a difference the day after I use it. You can get these at Sephora and they are more affordable than some other brands.

TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL CC CONCEALER – This is a CC cream and concealer in one product. The tube holds the CC cream and the tip is the concealer. To be honest, I still prefer to use my Maybelline concealer, but it’s convenient that this product is a two-in-one product. The CC cream applies really well and blends into my skin. This product definitely works better for people who have paler skin because it only comes in one shade, but it works really well for me! I also love that this product lasts all day and does not feel heavy on my skin. There are three products in this line, so you can also get this with a highlighter or blush instead of the concealer.

TOO FACED PEACH PALETTE – Okay, I know I talked about this last month already but I’ve still been really loving it. I’ve been using Nectar as a base, Candied Peach for the crease but extending it beyond the crease, and a mix of Puree and Peach Pit for the crease. I like that when I extend Candied Peach beyond the crease, it peeks through and adds warmth : )

PIXI GLOW TONIC – I have been using this for a month now and it definitely makes my skin softer. I also noticed that the weird bumps I had on the side of my face and slowly going away. Adding this toner is the only change I’ve made to my skincare routine, so it’s safe to say that I have this product to thank. I use it after I wash my face and before I put on moisturizer.

MY FANCY FEET – I received this product from an Influenster package and was amazed by how well it worked! All you have to do is slide it in your heels and it makes walking in them so much easier (and you can walk for a longer period of time). The cushion is not too thick, so it won’t make your toes feel tight.

THE DEFINING DECADE – Meg Jay wrote this book for twentysomethings, and I recommend all twentysomethings to read it! It’s a light read and it made me realize that my 20s really do matter and there are certain things I should do or look for that will shape my future. The book is split into three sections – work, love, and brain and body. I found the section about love to be particularly interesting because it talked about deal breakers and match makers. Well, guess you gotta read it to find out more!

MARBLE LUGGAGE – The marble luggage featured in my ‘how to pack a carry-on‘ post is a TOP FAV. It is by the brand Calpak and you can get it in a set of two or set of three. It is trendy, sturdy, spacious, and just beautiful. I mean, it’s marble. I use my carry-on with packing cubes and it seriously makes packing so much easier. Please read my blog post for more packing tips!

And that wraps up the month of March. Oh yeah, I turned 23 this month and did a blog post about getting ready for my birthday! I am very thankful to have worked with brands like amika, Coalition LA, Sunglass LA, and Port and Polish this month, and I want to thank you for your support!! Remember to follow me on Instagram for giveaway fun. April is another exciting month and I can’t wait to blog all about it! Thank you for stopping by : )
