My Skincare Routine

Welcome to day 8 of #12DaysOfKimber!

It has been a year since I started my blog and one of my first posts was my skincare routine, so I thought I’d do an updated one. It is pretty similar to last year’s, but this one has better photos and a few new products. I talked about Vanity Planet in my post last year, so I’m super excited to be collaborating with them on this blog post! You can get 70% off my favorite product – Ultimate Skin Spa.

To start off, I have sensitive combination skin, more on the oily side. I also like to keep my skincare routine pretty simple because I have to travel a lot for work (#consultantlife). Let’s begin!

Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa

After a long day at work, it is just so satisfying to take off my makeup. The tool that Love to use is the Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa, which is a device that cleanses your skin and gets any makeup stuck in your pores out. Once I take my makeup off, I rinse my face with water to prep for the face brush, as the brush works better on damp skin. Then, I dot my face with face wash and turn on my Vanity Planet brush. I like to hold the device so the brush head is flush against the skin, because I find that it cleanses better. The Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa comes with three brush heads – daily cleansing facial brush, exfoliating facial brush, and silicone brush. I usually use the daily cleansing facial brush because I only bring one brush head around when I travel, but I also use the exfoliating facial brush once in a while to get rid of the dead skin. What’s great about the kit is that you can customize your facial cleansing routine with the different brush heads, and you can even choose which speed option you want based on your skin’s condition. The facial cleansing brush is a fast and easy way to keep my skin clean and fresh, especially when I am traveling for work. You can get 70% off on all Vanity Planet products, so shop away!

Face Wash

I rotate through my five face washes for no particular reason. It just depends on my mood 🙂 The first two are the ones I like to use with the Vanity Planet brush, the next two are what I usually use in the morning on their own, and the last one is what I use to exfoliate for when I do not have the brush with me.

  1. Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam
  2. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser
  3. Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Soap Facial Cleanser
  4. L’occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam
  5. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Face Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub

Toner

Next step is toner! My friend introduced the Pixi one to me earlier this year and I swore by it for many months, until I recently started using the Son&Park one. I like both of them a lot, but I have definitely been grabbing the latter more these days. It gives my skin a nice base for moisturizer, and leaves my skin feeling very soft.

Moisturizer

Moisturizing is key. Whether you have dry or oily skin, moisturizing is very important. My two favorite ones are this one by Clinique and this one by Physiogel. When I am traveling, I bring a travel size Clinique; when I am home, I use whichever one I feel like using. I have been using both of them for a few years and still love them!

Sheet Masks

Sometimes I will pamper myself with a sheet mask. These are super helpful after flights because the air is always so dry on airplanes. My favorite sheet masks are these ones by Too Cool For School, because they really lock the moisture in and feel great on my skin. I also really like the ones by Dr. Jart+, but I don’t buy them as often because they are pricier. The pore master works really well!

Clay Masks

On weekend nights when I am having relaxing night in, I will use a clay mask. My two favorite ones are this rose clay mask by Origins and this charcoal clay mask by Boscia. The rose clay mask leaves my skin super soft and more radiant, and the charcoal clay mask clears my pores and detoxifies my skin. It is always fun to Snapchat when I’m using clay masks!

Done!

Doesn’t it feel nice to get rid of all the makeup on your face? Now you can relax, watch some Netflix, and go to bed with a fresh, clean face.

I hope you enjoyed my updated skincare routine and check out Vanity Planet to get 70% off my favorite products! What is the one skincare product you swear by? Leave it in the comments below.

I love Clinique Dramatically Different. I’ve been using one formulation or another since I was a teen. It’s effective as all get out.
