What to Wear to Work | Office Outfit Ideas

Hello girlbosses! This week’s outfits are all work-wear appropriate! If you read my blog post about my Life as a Consultant, you’ll know that I work for a consulting firm, so I wear outfits that are appropriate for a corporate office setting during the week. On the days when I have more important client meetings, I wear more formal outfits. On other days, I wear my go-to pants (I have them in black and burgundy) that feel like pajamas but are still perfect for a business casual office. Let’s see the five outfits!

These pants are seriously so comfortable, and so is the top. It feels like I’m wearing pajamas to work! My nude suede pumps come in soo many colors and I did not have to break them in at all. I bought them about a month ago and have been wearing them nonstop.

This is a more formal outfit, but not in the traditional black and white color scheme. I had to get the skirt tailored because it was not available in my size, but the length was perfect! I have had this top for over a year now, but it is my go-to formal top because it is a cream/white color and very conservative.

Here is an outfit with a pop of color! I love the slight bell sleeve detail because it is one of my favorite trends this season. I tucked the shirt in a bit because it was longer than I wanted it to be. The pants are perfect for work because they are not too tight but also not too loose. I topped the look off with the blazer that I bought for myself when I first started work a little over a year ago (I somehow forgot to ask my colleague to take a picture of me in the blazer, but I will next time!). It fits so perfectly and makes any outfit look more professional! It is on the pricey side, but I think it’s very important to invest in a piece like this, since it is not something that will go out of style and it will be a work wardrobe classic.

I had to include a dress option, because dresses are just so easy to throw on! I’ve had this one for over two years, but Theory comes out with the same dress every single year. I want to say it’s part of the classic line, but they make slight tweaks to it every year. I really love Theory pieces for work, because size 00 fits perfectly on me. They are also great quality and have lasted me for a long time. Of course, I finished the look with the nude suede pumps!

This last outfit was actually featured here, but I thought I’d include it because I do travel a lot for work. These pants are the same as the burgundy ones from the first look, and since they are like pajamas, they are perfect for flights! If you came to this blog post from my InstaStory, you probably saw that I was wearing the same pants today! You can get the InstaStory outfit details here. This outfit was from a different week, which is why I am wearing a different pair of shoes (from over a year ago). I like that this one is nude patent leather and the other one is nude suede – gotta have options!

I hope you enjoyed these work-wear outfits! It was my first time putting together an office-appropriate lookbook together. If you liked it, please leave a comment below and let me know if I should do more when the weather gets colder 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by!
