Same Accessories Different Looks

Everyone talks about how changing up your accessories will change the look completely, and I totally agree. However, changing your outfit while keeping the same accessories also has the same effect. You might be thinking – duh! Well, having some staple accessories is just as important as having staple clothing pieces in your wardrobe. Today I will be showing you two drastically different t-shirt dresses and how I styled them with the exact same accessories.

Blush tshirt dress (on sale!) / White sneakers / Coach watch (without jewels) / Mejuri necklace / Studded backpack

This blush nude t-shirt dress is perfect for any casual day. Or any lazy day, because you can just throw it on and look cute! I love the bow detail on the sleeves because it adds a feminine touch to the t-shirt dress. I paired the dress with my favorite white sneakers that I wear all the time to keep the look very casual. The studded backpack adds a little edge to this girly look and it can hold a LOT of stuff. I kept the accessories minimal because that is what I prefer. The majority of my jewelry collection consists of dainty and classic pieces, like my Mejuri necklace and Coach watch. I find that having a few classic accessories that you wear very often not only is something that people remember you by, but also makes it easier for you to pick your accessories in the morning. Plus the jewelry won’t turn green after a while (sorry forever21). That is why I do not mind spending more on higher quality jewelry : )

Black embroidery tshirt dress / White sneakers / Coach watch (without jewels) / Mejuri necklace / Studded backpack

This black embroidery dress is very different from the previous dress. All the accessories are exactly the same. Only the dress is different. I love that this dress can be very casual with sneakers during the day, but also very dressed up with heels for a night out! This is definitely an edgier look, which matches well with the studded backpack. Of course, the necklace and watch go well with this outfit because I don’t see how they could not go with any outfit!

I hope you enjoyed my two outfits! It was the flip version of the “one dress many ways” type posts. With so many trends going in and out of style so quickly, a lot of times we don’t want to spend a lot of money on the actual clothes. Having a few accessories (whether it’s a handbag or jewelry piece) that you wear all the time makes it part of your personal style, which is not dependent on trends and fads. Stay true to yourself and thank you for stopping by : )

Shoutout to Sabrina from VOGUESABE for taking photos for me!

Thank you Coach for gifting me the watch. Everything else was purchased by myself.
