Summer Gingham

Last weekend I took a weekend trip to Ottawa, Ontario with my friend Sandra and of course, we took LOTS of photos! We even took photos of the two of us with the DSLR self-timer and they turned out super cute. I will be doing a more in-depth travel diary once I sort through all the photos! It was quite difficult to take photos at the tulip festival because there were a lot of people, so we took some photos at Dow’s Lake. Photos taken in bright scorching sun are the worst because the shadows distort your face, but here are some good ones 🙂

I wore this yellow gingham dress on Saturday and I loved it! It’s so summery and photographs well in nature – perfect for vacation days. I paired it with my Aldo sandals from last year and my Longchamp backpack (apparently it did not make it into the photos). I love that the white lace-up sandals match perfectly with the summery dress!

I am 5’5” and ordered the dress in the petite version. I just checked online and only the petite version and tall version are in stock. There is also a cold-shoulder version and a one-shoulder version of this pretty yellow gingham!

I always love visiting new cities and this was my first time in Ottawa. I can’t wait to share my trip with you! As always, thank you for stopping by : )

Love the yellow gingham! I’ve been on a mission to add some gingham to my wardrobe this season AND start wearing yellow. I’ve always thought I couldn’t make yellow work, but now I’m inspired. <3

I never thought I could pull off yellow either! Maybe because the gingham pattern has white in it so it’s more flattering for my skin tone 🙂

Adorable dress and shoes! I probably couldn’t pull off the off the shoulder look, but I do like the one-shoulder version! Thanks for the links! 🙂

Of course! I also really like the cold shoulder one, as it covers a bit more haha

Wow! Looks great on you. Me and yellow are so not biffles. But I have so much admiration for those who pull off yellow. As great minds think alike, my latest post features gingham as well haha 😉 <3 Cheers!

It’s wonderful to see you enjoying your trip to Ottawa, AND looking great. I had trouble keeping pretty when I travelled, so I am impressed.
