Summer Travel Skincare Routine

Hello my beautiful friends! As we get into summer’s scorching weather, it is so important to take good care of our skin. Especially when you’re traveling a lot like me! I travel weekly for work, so I have to make sure I have a travel-size option for everything. Read on to find out what I do for my summer travel morning and night routine! Introducing two new products for my morning routine and one for my night routine 🙂

Morning Routine

With summer approaching and me traveling to warm-weather destinations, I have been very diligent in making sure to apply sunscreen on my face. I used to hate putting sunscreen on my face because I did not like how oily most sunscreens were. Since I already have oily skin, I did not want to add more oil onto my skin! That is why I love the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen with SPF 40 (featured in photo above). It has a consistency of a primer and applies onto the skin very smoothly. Most sunscreens are too oily and causes my makeup to slip off – not pretty, but the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen also acts as a primer so your makeup will not slip and slide. It is not greasy and also absorbs into the skin well. Now onto the routine!

Wash and Prep

When I wake up, I start by washing my face with the Shiseido face wash and Vanity Planet cleansing brush (read more about the cleansing brush HERE). I then use my Pixi Glow Tonic and SK-II Facial Treatment Essence with a cotton pad, and apply the Clinique Moisturizer. I like to use this one in the morning because it feels lighter on the skin, compared to the one I use at night.

New Products

Up next is a new product – the Malin+Goetz Revitalizing Eye Gel! This is another new addition to my skincare routine. It has ingredients such as rice and soy peptides that brighten and sooth tired eyes, and also alleviates puffiness with a cooling cucumber. My favorite part is that the product is very lightweight, so it works well under makeup.

Finally, I apply the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and let it sit for a few minutes. Then off to my very simple makeup routine!

Night Routine

At the end of the day, I use wipes to get rid of a good chunk of the makeup. I do not wear a lot of makeup to begin with, but I have to go to sleep with a clean face or else I will break out. My two favorite makeup wipe brands are Simple and Neutrogena. I currently have the Simple makeup wipes with me, and I love that the brand works well for people with sensitive skin.

Wash

After wiping my face clean, I wash my face with the Shiseido face wash and my Vanity Planet cleansing brush. These two work so well together because the cleanser foams up with the cleansing brush and cleans off any residue that the makeup wipe did not get rid of.

Prep

Next I use my Pixi Glow Tonic with a cotton pad as a toner. I still love the Son & Park Beauty Water as a toner, but I do not have a travel-size version of that – I use that when I’m at home! Next up is the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence that has seriously changed my life. I talk more about it HERE.

Moisturize

The one I use at night is the Kiehl’s Facial Cream because it is so moisturizing and I do not mind sleeping with a slightly heavier moisturizer at night. I also recently added a lip moisturizer, the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, and wake up with super soft lips!

I’ve also started using the Pixi Glow Tonic. I hope it would work on my skin. I would love to try SK products.
