Sunday Brunch in Blue

There is no better city for brunch than New York. How else are you going to celebrate spring with your girl friends? Sunday brunch followed by shopping and strolling around in the spring air is every New Yorker’s dream, especially after the snow in March. At brunch, life is beautiful – doesn’t matter if you’re having mimosas, bellinis, orange juice, or cold brew coffee.

That is exactly what I did this past Sunday. My girl friends and I reunited for brunch at While We Were Young, located in West Village. Unlike most brunch places in the city, While We Were Young opens at noon on Sunday, but there was a line outside the restaurant before it opened. If you want a seat by the window or one of the tables with the pink couch, you have to get there early. It is a very Instagrammable restaurant with cereal shots and specialty cocktails. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen the cereal shots on my Instastory! The truffle fries and chicken and waffles were divine, so was the cauliflower and goat cheese starter. I will definitely be going back to try some other goodies on their menu : )

Dress: thredUP / Shoes: Steve Madden / Necklace: Chloe + Isabel / Bag: Chloe

After brunch, my big and I spent the afternoon soaking in sunshine and strolling through the streets of West Village and Meatpacking. We actually did not buy anything, which is very rare when we are together haha. I wore my new favorite shift dress from thredUP. It is actually a dress from alice + olivia. I have been wanting a good quality blue shift dress for a while now, and was very lucky to find this on thredUP in my size, almost brand new, and for a quarter of the price! thredUP curates second-hand pieces and promotes sustainable fashion, which is basically reusing and donating clothes. They make it a lot easier for us to shop vintage, pieces from previous seasons that you were not able to get your hands on, and even current and trendy pieces! I actually did some spring cleaning earlier this month and sent my clothes to them with their clean out bag, which is super convenient. I am obsessed! From now until May 1st, you can use my code KIMB40 for 40% off your first order!!

Now that the weather is warmer in the city, I can’t wait to share more of my New York City adventures with you! As always, thank you for stopping by : )
