There are three types of denim jackets you need in your closet: the plain one, the warm one, and the #extra one. I absolutely loove wearing denim jackets because they are so easy to throw on. Plus, they pretty much match with anything and everything. Let’s see how I styled my three denim jackets!
The Plain One
Gotta start with the most basic one. A plain denim jacket, whether it’s light denim or dark denim, is a must. Mine is an old one from Zara. Whether you’re wearing a dress or a t-shirt, throwing on a plain denim jacket will make the look more casual but still put together. I threw my denim jacket over a black and white striped long sleeve from Goodnight Macaroon. I wore my go-to black jeans that are ripped at the knee and tied the whole look together with my Superga white sneakers.
The Warm One
This is like the plain one but with added warmth from the sherpa lining. This trucker denim jacket is lined at the collar and the body, so it keeps you extra warm. If you live in a warmer climate, you can always opt for this one, which only has sherpa lining at the collar and not the body. I have been eyeing this jacket for the longest time and finally decided to get it for my recent trip (many more travel posts coming up, yay!). I threw it over a rose chenille sweater (on sale). This material is seriously so soft! I finished the look with my go-to black knee ripped denim and black booties with buckle details.
The #EXTRA One
Finally, the most #extra one! Pearl details are everywhere this season – scarves, sweaters, you name it. This denim jacket (on sale) has pearls mixed with ripped details on the back, and embellished details on the shoulders. Basically a piece of art! There are ripped details on the front of the jacket as well, so it looks pretty grungy from the front, but when people see the back – BAM! I just can’t get over how stunning this jacket is. I paired it with a gray sweater (on sale) and my go-to black knee ripped denim, and then tied the look together with my white velcro sneakers.
