One of my new year’s resolutions is to travel more, and I’m off to a great start! Heading to Orlando this weekend and San Francisco the weekend after that : )
I am one of those people who love traveling but still need to come home and sleep in my own bed. If I like my own bed so much, why do I like traveling? The biggest reason is expanding my perspective. We see a lot of photos on Instagram of beautiful destinations that we want to eventually go to, but seeing them with our own eyes is completely different. Whether it’s trying a new cuisine or seeing how the locals interact with each other, it’s all part of expanding my perspective. Another reason why I love traveling is because it’s a form of escape – to a place without meetings and deadlines. I can focus on the things I want to do. Most of the time, I will have a rough itinerary as a guideline for the trip. This list includes restaurants, tourist attractions, and activities. If I’m on a longer trip, I like to have jam-packed days and sleep-in days to balance out the exploring and relaxing, but if I’m on a short weekend trip, I like to have a more concrete itinerary so I can make the most of it (and then sleep on the flight or ride back home).
I know this is a long list, but it would so amazing if I could hit up all these places, even if it’s just for a weekend. Here we go!
