Trench Cape OOTD

Walking in a winter wonderland (in March). Yup. I still get that giddy feeling when I watch the snow fall, and yesterday was no exception. While everyone wants a beautiful snow day (preferably in January) and a white wonderland, we all want the next day to be warm and for the snow to melt away without the slushy mess. That is pretty much what happened this weekend!

I escaped the busy city of Manhattan to a small town in New Jersey to visit one of my best friends, Michelle. I love living in New York, but sometimes it’s good to get some fresh air. We had some delicious beef noodle soup, shopped at Target and The Mall at Short Hills, and took photos the day after it snowed. Michelle continued taking photos of me after we finished some outfit shots, knowing that I would treasure some fun and derpy photos. Now onto the outfit!

I have been lusting after a trench cape since the fall season and finally found an affordable one last week. It is great value for money. I mean, where else would you be able to find a trench cape under 40 bucks? This trench cape is currently on sale and a size up still fits me really well! I paired it with a white turtleneck, dark blue jeans, and my thigh high boots. My OTK books are from Stuart Weitzman, but there are many more affordable options on the market. I love that this outfit looks a lot more expensive than it is, especially because the trench cape looks like the one from Burberry haha. If you want to know how I did my hair, click here.
