After a long day, all I want to do is wind down and relax. I have gone through phases of showering at night and showering in the morning, but I find that showering at night allows me to feel fresh and clean for bed, which leads to better sleep. Of course this is not scientifically proven or anything, but that’s what works best for me. Also, I recently colored my hair and have been using new products to help my hair keep its color! Let’s see how I wind down on weeknights!
I don’t always eat out, but I had dinner at a friend’s place that night and didn’t get home until almost 10PM. Usually the relaxing happens after I eat dinner. I like to relax on my couch, scroll through social media, and videochat my parents (they are in a different time zone). What’s a day without catching up on what everyone else is up to? Totally kidding, but social media is a big part of our lives haha.

After I shower, I let my hair air dry. If it’s too late in the night, I will blow dry my hair, but I try to not do that. Ta-da! My weekday night routine! It is probably pretty standard, but I wanted to share the amazing hair products with you. For a while I was showering in the morning and had to blow dry my hair before going to work, but blow drying is added heat that my hair just did not need. Plus, I started using a new pillow case (will talk about it in my April favorites next Sunday) and don’t like to sleep on it with dirty hair. I have been paying a lot more attention to hair product ingredients since I colored my hair, and I no longer blow dry it before bed. I also find that not blow drying my hair at night adds to the relaxing because it’s one less thing to do and it keeps the night relatively quiet. I hope you enjoyed my weekday night routine.
