Weekday Night Routine

After a long day, all I want to do is wind down and relax. I have gone through phases of showering at night and showering in the morning, but I find that showering at night allows me to feel fresh and clean for bed, which leads to better sleep. Of course this is not scientifically proven or anything, but that’s what works best for me. Also, I recently colored my hair and have been using new products to help my hair keep its color! Let’s see how I wind down on weeknights!

I don’t always eat out, but I had dinner at a friend’s place that night and didn’t get home until almost 10PM. Usually the relaxing happens after I eat dinner. I like to relax on my couch, scroll through social media, and videochat my parents (they are in a different time zone). What’s a day without catching up on what everyone else is up to? Totally kidding, but social media is a big part of our lives haha.

After scrolling through Instagram, it’s time to shower! I have been loving the natural and organic hair products by Triesta Organics. They are sulfate-free, so it does not damage the coloration. I wash my hair every other day with the Moisturizing Shampoo and Moisturizing Conditioner, and use the Clarifying Treatment once a week. The shampoo is made from natural ingredients that are safe for your hair and contains vitamins that promote hair growth, and the conditioner contains aloe vera juice that restores your hair’s sheen and prevents breakage. All their products are chemical free, safe for color treated hair, and cruelty free. You can use code ‘SHINE17‘ to get free full-size bottles of the Moisturizing Collection ($110 value) until April 30th, 2017!

After I shower, I let my hair air dry. If it’s too late in the night, I will blow dry my hair, but I try to not do that. I don’t like it when my pajamas get wet when my hair is air-drying, so I strut around in my black slip and pink robe ; ) I also like to light a candle as a stimulant for relaxing. This Luxury Massage Candle doubles up as a massage oil that moisturizes your skin! It smells sooo good mmmm : )

Finally, I get in bed to watch some YouTube videos and Netflix. I recently finished watching 13 Reasons Why on Netflix and am still thinking about it. What are some shows you like to watch? Leave them in the comments below!

And of course, I have to check my phone one more time before I go to bed. Sometimes I will sip on some warm chamomile tea : ) After checking my phone, it’s snooze time. Sweet dreams! (Btw, I do not sleep with my lights on haha, it was just for the sake of this post.)

Ta-da! My weekday night routine! It is probably pretty standard, but I wanted to share the amazing hair products with you. For a while I was showering in the morning and had to blow dry my hair before going to work, but blow drying is added heat that my hair just did not need. Plus, I started using a new pillow case (will talk about it in my April favorites next Sunday) and don’t like to sleep on it with dirty hair. I have been paying a lot more attention to hair product ingredients since I colored my hair, and I no longer blow dry it before bed. I also find that not blow drying my hair at night adds to the relaxing because it’s one less thing to do and it keeps the night relatively quiet. I hope you enjoyed my weekday night routine. Thank you for stopping by : )

Thank you Triesta Organics for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

Love your bedding and headboard! Also, definitely thought those hair care products were wine bottles and that your weeknight routine was going in a totally different direction! Ha!

Another one for #TeamNightShower here! I have so much trouble with the drying part though- I’m insistent on air drying, but it takes hours to dry even though my hair isn’t very long, AND my hair is very straight so any links from sleeping on it wet are super apparent. Any body else have these struggles and a good way for dealing with them?

The packaging on these hair products is so gorgeous! I’m loving all these shots as always <3 I really hated 13 Reasons Why but it did make me think about it for a bit haha!

I love my relaxing cup of chamomile/mint tea (I put in a bag of each – the chamomile helps me sleep and I suffer with allergies so the peppermint oil helps with my sinuses so I sleep better) before bed! I am also a big fan of spending the last part of my day in my robe, although mines black 🙂
    Great post!

I love relaxing in the evening too. I love your headboard by the way! Thanks for sharing your bedtime routine with us.

I shower before bed too, it’s just so relaxing. My hair never feels dry in the morning, probably because it is so ridiculously thick. I just finished 13 Reasons Why as well! It was interesting.
